Hai... here I am as we've promised to meet again in this post~ go go straight to the third day, shall we?

DAY III: MUSEUM VISIT
So, the yellow or goldish building I showed in the previous post (the view from the room) was actually the biggest museum we have in Malaysia and happens to be the second biggest in Southeast Asia! ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و ♡ No wonder everyone seems to be spending quite a long time there, including us haha. No cap! The minimum you'll be in there would be 3 hours and it can be more~

The museum we went to was the Borneo Culture Museum just across from our hotel and within walking distance so we walked through the Padang Merdeka slowly to enjoy the view of the old buildings and the legendary tree at the padang named Ambatukam.

.modern coexists with tradition.
Took our time taking photos since the museum still hadn't opened yet and arrived just in time for the doors to be open (supposedly but not sure maybe they're open earlier than said time since there was a school exhibition with so many students already at the lobby and halls)... fortunately we were still early so the kids were still at their exhibitions and not at the permanent museum exhibitions only until the second last halls, they started coming in and we had to just quickly go through as they swarmed in and kinda make it hard for us to enjoy it.

.the replica vs the one we saw at scv?.
The visit was a variable activity I put on the list and luckily we made it cause it was superb. This kind of attraction is our type, totally mine for sure, as I love cultural things~ Wanted to go to the Keringkam museum just nearby but time won't let us, so again, hopefully, we'll meet each other next time... with all the other museums and places we haven't been to yet~

/\ behind the scene and its result again haha \/
.ok, at least I got a sneak peek of the keringkam here.
Done with the museum at 12ish and straight to lunch but was let down to know it was closed when we reached the place after 30mins with some traffic jams. Did checked it before we went and it was said to be open so yeah hmmm. Waiting another half an hour just to get to another place and to go through the jam again lol. And finally, we reached the place which was just nearby to our previous location of buying the buttercake~

Oh, did I tell you that we actually went to get some famous butter cake in Kuching for a while after the museum just before the lunch place that was closed? Now, I did haha. The butter cake shop; MITA Cake House was only 7mins(?) away from the museum btw~

/\ the packaging is sooo cute \/

.bought this to test out.

/\ plain and marble buttercakes \/
psst: even though the plain and the cheese ones almost look alike, but they do taste and smell differently from each other including the marbled ones, so they are quite tasty!

Okay, back to lunch at Mom's Laksa... we were there during peak hours, so the tables weren't available we decided to tapau. We bought laksa sarawak pattaya which I ended up giving to the hotel cleaner cause no time to eat, mee kolok daging, and ayam. Almost forgot about the sweets we bought together; original and chocolate something (?) kek batik, salted caramel cheesecake, and toast. No proper photos but mom said the mee kolok tasted delish and the sweets were acceptable~

Grabs on the weekends, especially that weekend was full so we had to play the waiting game all day which made our time cramped more haha... returned to the hotel and took a really really quick break before going out again for a catch up sesh with my Kuching homegurl, Aidaaa~ ⋆𐙚₊˚⊹♡
.while waiting for aida at the lobby.
I separated from my family while they went to get souvenirs at Indian St that evening and to dinner at Dapur Melanau for my brother wanted to have some legit umai and linut. As for me, Aida brought me around to one of her fav cafes, Cohomo to have a tea break, then to the original and one of the oldest gula apong ice creams which she has had since young, RG Ais Krim, and to closed off the little jalan jalan cari makan we had our dinner at Lepau, which served Dayak cuisines.

.entrance to carpenter st. just across our hotel.

.thanks aida chia kamek fav kitak.
psst: the IG and RG do have their own style to the textures of their ice cream, it's worth it to try and they're both good, the midin and orang ulu chicken at Lepau was also yummy that I could even eat the whole portion (small size) on my own if I were at home haha

Also, as she knew I hadn't been able to see the official cat statue that we all know yet, she drove me along the way to it to send me back to the hotel~ at least with that, I could peacefully fly back without thinking that I've been there but didn't even see the statue? lol >ᴗ<

DAY IV: KUCHING TO KL??
Ahhh... sikmok balit. It was already our last day in Kuching... the surrealness is still there but we had to go back so soon? It was also raining the night before and gloomy the next morning, showing they are also sad eh? That morning before our flight at 1500 (we'll depart from the hotel at 1200 to avoid unnecessary jams etc), we went for a quick souvenir shopping, this time with me as I haven't got anything yet hehe

.oh, another fav snacks from scv (yes, this one is also available here in semenanjung.
/\  find the difference of my accessories xD
.trying to get it with historical buildings.
psst: also thanks to aida's mom for this original locally made hati parek! mom said it's gonna be gooood! haha (edit: it IS good! So thick and rich!)

It was still quite early I guess, that even one of the ice cream shops I wanna try just across the souvenir places hadn't opened so that means bye bye see you next time then lol. Packed the things we bought and just in time to check out and goodbye Kuching~
.ais krim gula apong while waiting to board, why not?.
.the hint: we're not back in KL yet.
The one-hour flight we took didn't feel like one, as usual, haha and we were no longer in Kuching at 1600. Sad but also feel more nostalgic since at last, we're in ???? Stay tuned to our next post to know where ♡ ̆̈.
