囍: Double Happiness with Love

Hello lovelies, it's yet another post of the past month... so, what was down? As the title suggests, it's a double happiness month... first, 囍(shuāng xǐ), literally means double happiness as it's made of a single character 喜 meaning joy, hence when combined it means as is, which you can usually see on weddings, especially of the Chinese ethnicity (maybe you might see it on mine? haha).

Why do I use the shuāng xǐ?

Literally because there was a wedding celebration which I'm gonna post mostly about here, and also another one worth celebrating, too, the retirement of my dad. So, isn't it double happiness? ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡

Finally, after how many retirements, this would be his official one (?) lol... unless he got called again like before to assist with his skills and experiences (psst he's one of the only 16s in MY)~

The next is... yes, the wedding... still jetlagged from it though, was why this post is written now (August 5th), when I have already scheduled it to be in my to-do list last week. Looking forward to it as we (my sibs and I) were assigned to be the dulang boi and gurls... it was of our maternal cousin, the bride.

Tbh, this kind of yellow does not really complement our skin colour, but luckily it can be paired with black scarves that made our face still look bright hehe 🙊 and also maybe the first time ever to be wearing the same baju and patterns? haha cause I think we never did it, even when we were younger (? only wearing the same colour), as what Malaysians call boria if I'm not mistaken. (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)

What's after solemnization? You got it right... the reception... here comes the reds hehe. And fyi, you'll see that I'm wearing black instead of red, but yeah, I put on red accessories to fit the theme. It's like, cause finally, I get to wear the black shining-shimmering-splendid suit dress I made in 2023 (?) that I posted about here. Loved it that in the seas of red, I still fit haha like this photo with my family \/

As you may have noticed, the photos are indeed in a random sequence, as there were just toooo many of them I had in my gallery, so I didn't bother to sort them out even here, pardon me (∩˃o˂∩). Anyway, we're coming to an end... but! 

We're still missing something... It's my OOTDs, as usual, and also another lovely wedding car door bouquet I made (of course from scratch by your girl here) for my cousin, again, except now for my maternal cousin, since last time was for my paternal cousin. Made a different style this time so I can have a lot of collection, cause I might start selling them, too?! ( ˶ˆ꒳ˆ˵ )

Actually, the giant bows are for the side mirror in my plan, but since there's a big bouquet placed at the front near the side, it is then placed here... oh oh, I planned this for the back spontaneously on the spot by using what extra materials we had that time~ ₊˚⊹ᰔ

/\ yes, my suit is shiny, but the lighting of the hall isn't vibing haha, so I shall wear it again for it to be in another lighting

/\ didn't wanna include this photo at first but wow my eyes look like I put on lenses, didn't they? Also, just don't mind my skin for not behaving lol, hence why the little flower was there again, too.
